Henry Road’s colorful retro global style is a tribute to sixties and seventies bold design with African and Asian influences.
Henry Road’s designer, Paula Smail views her work as a celebration of the places she’s been, the things she’s done and the people she’s loved. This desire to revel in life's journey is also reflected in her approach to interior design. To her a well traveled home is an edited, stylish and eclectic showcase of the places the occupants have been, the things they've done, their personal interests and the people who are important to them.
As a child growing up on Henry Road in South Africa, Paula remembers sitting in the apricot tree eating unripe fruit and sleeping in a red room. Since then she has lived in Paris, London and New York, and traveled extensively. Her home and the Henry Road line reflect her childhood, her travels, her love of color, and the inspiration she finds in the sunshine and flora of Los Angeles, the city she now calls home.
Henry Road's hand drawn, printed cottons define and shape a collection of home and gift items made in the USA.
